CCAS Limited was established in 1995 at the inception of planning supervisor’s responsibilities under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 1994. In April of 2007, when the CDM Regulations 2007 became effective, we began acting as CDM Co-ordinators, fulfilling a more active role during the design and construction process. Now the CDM regulations 2015 are in force we will continue to provide expert advice to Clients, Principal Designers and contractors as well as having the skills, knowledge and experience within the Castons organisation to take on the Principal Designer role for our clients in its entirety.
We believe in forming and maintaining close relationships with our clients through regular communication. This, together with having the necessary systems in place, ensures that we are able to give the right information, to the right people, at the right time – the key to effective CDM Consultancy.
We see our role as one of catalyst, ensuring that risks which can be affected by design are identified, effectively assessed and where practicable controlled. Our skill lies in meeting the necessary statutory requirements effectively, yet minimising bureaucracy and unnecessary paperwork. We adopt an integrated team structure which gives us the ability to group our resources and experience around large scale and more complex commissions.
Unlike many companies who offer CDM consultancy services, CCAS Limited are a specialist firm of Health and Safety Consultants, focusing on providing our clients with up-to-date and pragmatic advice on Health and Safety regulations.
To ensure that all our CDM consultants comply with the regulations, we insist they have over 20 years working experience in the construction industry, hold the NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum qualification and they are full members of IOSH and registered members of the Association for Project Safety (named on register).
As professional consultants within an industry where risks are often high, and the consequences of any error far reaching, we reassure our clients through meticulous attention to detail. In an industry beset by technical language and terminology, we ensure that our communication is clear and comprehensible. Due to our commitment to continuous professional development, and having had experience working on a myriad of construction projects, we are not only able to understand the intricacies of each project that we take on, but explain in plain English how the CDM Regulations will affect it.
